Watts Faster was born from one simple obsession: making bikes go faster.
It started with me.
I wanted to compete harder in the UK time trial scene. I don’t have a massive engine, so I turned to aerodynamics. If I couldn’t push more watts, I’d waste fewer.
It worked.
Then I helped my brother.
Then a few friends.
Then more riders were asking to go faster.
So far everyone got faster. Some got a lot faster.
I first started testing at Maindy, velodrome
The Turning Point
The real turning point? Meeting Vittoria Bussi at the World Cycling Centre in Aigle.
The first time, I was just a fan asking for a photo :-)
A few weeks later, we were talking aero testing.
A few months later, we started working together more and more.
Then she said something that changed everything:
She challenged me to stop relying so much on the instruments. Go deeper into the maths.
So I did.
I built spreadsheets that could calculate CdA directly from raw ride data — with real precision. Suddenly errors weren’t hidden. You could see them, understand them.
That was the real game changer.

I went on to work with Vittoria during her project to break two track world records, including a three-week camp in Mexico that completely reshaped how I think about performance, precision, and going fast.
